He approached Sites & Stuff for a new website to gain greater visibility for his illustration and self publishing services. His brief to us was to showcase his work in a unique way, there are so many basic galleries used to display this kind of work, he wanted something a little different. And, of course, it needed to be editable, Alex creates new work all the time and wanted to be able to refresh the site himself.
So we came up with a bespoke design centred around his desk and integrated the WordPress content management platform so that he had full control over the content going forward. To make the desk design fully responsive was a complex task, creating something outside a normal grid structure means nothing just falls into place but we painstakingly coded each element to move exactly where we wanted it to go for every device type and we believe the result is pretty awesome.
Not only did we create something visually unique we knocked the SEO out of the park by getting to the number 1 spot on Google for his desired search term of ‘illustrator Swindon’, click here to see for yourself.
